#26

Issue: #26 - April 1997
Title: Adrift
Creative Team: Scott Lobdell (story), Joe Bennet (pencils), Joe Pimentel (inks), Marie Javins (colors), Starkings & Comicraft (letters).

Summary/Review: GenX, minus Jubes and the litluns, are trapped in the middle of the ocean. With things such as Paige in shock, M falling from the sky due to exhaustion, and the inevitable dehydration and starvation of the kids, it'll be a wonder if they can survive from the scorching sun. Who am I kidding? This is Marvel we're talking about. They'll get hurt, yes, but they should come out alive.
Back at the Academy, Sean is trying desperatly to find the kids while Emma, who was thought dead, awakens as Nightmare arrives once more to remind her that he did, indeed, warn her in issue #22. And here she warns him that once the kids are found and brought back, she's coming for him.
Meanwhile, Jubes is attempting to excape Bastion's domain with... a new haircut?! Guess so. Looks good on the cover, though.

Quick Thoughts: The Good: The story starts off where the last ended, leaving nothing to question in between. It was short, but broken up well, and with real concerns rather than something outrageously unusual. The Bad: The art wasn't that spectacular (what the hell happened to Jubilee?!), it was a little too calm, causing it to lose the momentum from the last issue, and seeing Jubilee running around with a gun and a horrible new haircut wasn't that great either.
