Name: Howard Duck (no "the")
First Appearance: Adventure Into Fear #19
Powers/Abilities: Nada. He's just a walking, talking duck.
History: Howard is an alien resident from a planet called Duck World. Which is, obviously, populated by duck humaniods. Somehow he got warped to Earth where he struggles "Living In A World He Didn't Make."
Howard, the chain smoking, foul tempered (pun intended) Duck Humanoid hasn't been really enjoying himself. In fact, he refers to Humans as "Hairless Apes." Then he meet the girl who would change his life forever, Betsy (the red-haired girl who was with him in issues 24 and 25). At first, they were friends, but recently they started a "difficult" realtionship due to the fact that Betsy isn't even Howard's species.
Well, for some odd reason, Marvel decided to bring Howard back into the Marvel Universe, and where else to start him off at but in the third generation of mutants, Generation X. He hasn't had much part in it, he just met up with Chamber and Skin while they were hitch-hiking in issue #20, took them to L.A. so Skin could take care of some mysterious things, and then managed to get back home and get into a lil trouble while hangin out. He also become involved with Franklin Richards, Artie, Leech, an alien named Tana Nile, and the Man-Thing in an... interesting quest (check out the Daydreamers mini-series for that adventure).
During his trials on Earth, he has came across whacked-out supervillians, ran for President, set Black Tom Cassidy on fire, and
even became a human for an issue or two. What a freaky ducky.
