History: Adam is a gifted college student who was dealt what he believes to be a bad hand. He has trouble controlling his mutant power to shift into a somewhat barbaric reptillian form, and it has gotten himself in a bit of trouble. Most notably, when he came in contact with Sean Cassidy, who was very interested in Adam's skills and understanding of genetics, specifically that of mutants. This meeting with the headmaster of the Massachussettes Academy did not go as well as it could have, when his powers kicked in with a little help from Emma Frost. Adam was also recognized as a mutant by Operation: Zero Tolerance, which used one of the students at the college he attends to lure him into the clutches of the Prime Sentinels, either for capture or extermination. Luckily, he escaped with help from Banshee.

Sean offered to enroll him into the school to further control his powers and become a member of Generation X, but Adam politely declined, stating he would rather not hide himself from society because he scares them. He's more interested in pursuing a goal of mutant-human prosperity, which he hopes to have a hand in.
