If the galaxy class compare to a cruiser but its not acording to star fleet Voyager is a destroyer her line definitely sugest it the saucer is narrow and long the main body is closer to the saucer the warp engine are so close that they have to be tilted for warp speed but most of it if not star fleet her captain is making her into one .She has understood the need for more weapon and in the last episode she purchase a canon that could easily turn the tide against the dominion if she ever make it back.
