A.2:
Reflections of Self:
When I read I try to understand the author's intent and meaning of the work. More often than not this is because of scholastic requirements, not a self-imposed practice. When I write I am independent enough to introduce my own ideas without having to resort to rewording other people's works. My confidence shows through when I speak and listen, able to comprehend a discussion while dissecting the true meaning of the topic. In technology my skills and strategy truly shines, being able to deal with the ever changing world on the fly while maintaining an excellent edge in my abilities to interact with technology. However, because of a rather uncommon background, my communication skills with others are in need of full attention for developement. In most cases, I am more competent in completeing tasks on my own rather than working with a group, even though I have worked on many different projects with groups in the past. Unfortunately, sometimes I become overconfident in certain aspects and will come across downfalls every now and then.

Illusions of a University

Part B
B.1:
Mid-Term Summary:
As stated above, I came into this class with an extensive computer background. However, my literary background isn't so well developed. Likewise, my communications skills are found to be wanting at times. Up to this point I have helped others in technological questions, and they have helped me critique my papers. It seems that the criticisms and comments that are offered by my classmates and my teacher are most helpful in polishing all my works in class. Ironically, my teacher, knowing my existing capabilities in computers, have decided to challenge or introduce new implementations so that I may continue to add new skills to my collection. To date, I am still progressing towards a better way to present my voice in a paper, while continuing to hone my technological edge.

Part C
C.1:
Mid-Term Evaluation:
Truth be told, I haven't exactly done a "A" quality work so far. Granted, I've finished all assignments given, but I still feel something is amiss. During class time when my teacher is explaining how to make webpages or perform researches on the internet, I merely sit back and "compare notes" to make sure what I'm doing isn't out of the bounds she is giving us, simply because I already know how to do these things. Yet, when a project/paper is due, I toil endless to make sure I have corrected any and all mistakes that can be found. Unfortunately, because of the way my classes were scheduled, I am unable to make it to my teacher's office hours. We try to maintain contact through email, but sometimes even that line of communication can break down. Yet it seems that my papers have "evolved" beyond the high-school mode, and ironically sometimes the paper still leaves important points unaddressed. Likewise, sometimes my overconfidence will blind me to my mistakes until it is too late.
Given these facts, I'd venture to say that I qualify for a "B" at most. Reason being that there are a few more things that I can do better at, and I will continue to develope them. From now on, I'll continue to help others on the internet when they need it, and strive to improve my rhetoric and composition skills. Needless to say, that means I will have to work on my communications and team-work skill.
