The Strike Carrier Orion

The Orion has been my home for the past few decades until I was transferred toCamelot Command. Which in turn honorably discharged my service. She was a good ship, she hadan excellent crew, and I was quite proud to be her captain for my last few years in service.

I am currently working on a biography for her, so I hope it will explain many questions one mightask about her. She has had many a interesting incident, and I should know. I was present formost of them. Of course, BIS (Brigade Internal Secruity) would probably like it more if I didn't write about them. But I'd like to see how she will fair in the future. . .

To explain briefly, I was just a fresh seaman aboard her when she was first commissioned.Years later when I was promoted to Midshipman, I was transferred to the Escort Carrier Lexingtonfor OCS (that's Officer Candidates School for you non-Brigade) training. Why transfer from a bigger ship to a smaller ship to train, you ask? Quite simple. Orion was stationed at the front lines near theKrathakan Empire during the Krathakan Rebellion at the request of the Confederation. Due to the fact that the ship was under condition red most of the time, there was simply no time for any officer to properly train me. So they threw me into the next inbound shuttle and sent me on my merry way to a Confederation transport which brought me to the Lady Lex, who was waiting for me impatiently. Of course, when I finished OCS, they threw me back onboard the same shuttle bound for the Orion.

The media services no doubt have shown many a great view of the Orion, but none of themare as grand unless you are seeing her while flying one of her fighters. The following images were captured while I was performing an external inspection after a nasty incursion by Krathakan rebels. The blue fighters you see in the background are her Lancer-Class Interceptors.
