Green Lantern #106:  The conclusion of the Emerald Knights storyline and boy was it... okay.  The ending was really bland and didn't really solve the age old debate of which Green Lantern is better, Hal or Kyle.  All it had was Kyle gaining a newfound respect for his title and all that came before him.  It didn't do anything earth-shattering, it just simply was another storyline.  I felt a bit upset after all the build-up, but I guess that Kyle grew as a character from all this, and I did enjoy the stories, there just wasn't any profound sense of accomplishment from reading them.

JLA Annual #2 - Well, I guess last week WAS the exception to the rule.  The JLA finds out who's behind the return of their past "ghosts," and with the help of many dead former members, they dispatch him.  It was a pretty weak ending, but had a few good story elements.  The realization of who was behind everything was nice, but the previous annuals didn't build that up at all.  The only story that even mentioned some higher power bringing back dead spirits was the Green Lantern annual.  I felt that the "common theme" could have been helped by making them all tie in a bit more and not waiting until the end to do so.  Oh well, I only picked up half of the annuals this year (or just over), so I don't feel entirely suckered.

JLA: The Nail #3 - I do feel quite suckered about this one.  All the great storyline so far was turned into a slugfest final issue.  Dangling plot lines, contrived resolution, silly villain, and all made this quite a dissapointment.  That's really all I can say without spoiling the "surprise ending."

Young Heroes In Love #1-15 - I found these at a used bookstore here in town and, through word of mouth, was intrigued enough to buy the set.  It's not the best writing that I've seen in comics, but it was a LOT of fun.  The thing about this book is that it plays with misconceptions, people that you don't like at first, turn out to be good people, and people that you really like turn out to be manipulating and backstabbing.  It's just a fun book, not quite as funny as Young Justice, but quite a bit more plot driven.  I'm planning on finishing out the series until it's cancellation later this year (which is highly unfortunate).

The overall feel I got this week after reading the comics was good, I enjoyed this week, even though the fare wasn't quite the best.
