July 22
I didn't have the opportunity to pick up much this week, as I'm moving soon and need to save all the money I can.  I picked up a few from last week that were still waiting for me, and one new book.

Adventures in the DC Universe #18 - I'm a big fan of this series, and I've just recently heard that the next issue will be it's last, so I'm a bit bummed out about this one.  Anyway, this was a typical Adventures book, they aren't great, but they're a lot of fun.  In this issue, the Justice League goes up against a foe that it can't hope to beat, because it can duplicate their abilities.  From Wonder Woman's lasso of truth to Flash's super-speed, this guy has it all.  Who is this bad guy of bad guys?  Amazo the android, and it's our favorite ring-slinger who takes him down, with a little help from a pointy eared detective.  Again, this book is a lot of fun, but don't pick it up if you're looking for any kind of heavy reading.

JLA #22 - The only book I picked up that came out this week, and I was pretty impressed with it.  The world's been put to sleep and everyone's dreaming the same dream.  This doesn't sit well with a certain Lord of Dreams.  Dream sends a few of our heroes into the dream world to save the world from that end of things, while the rest of the JLA tries to find the external cause of the mass "sleepy sickness."  In the end it's a friend that we last saw sucking on Flash's face a year ago in the Justice League Secret Files #1.

Thunderbolts #18 - After the first year of this book, I thought things were loosing a bit of steam, but recently it's been picking up again.  When the Thunderbolts (formerly Masters of Evil, now actual heroes, but still wanted for crimes committed while they were the Masters of Evil) go up against the new Masters of Evil, they may soon renounce their heroic ways for a more comfortable life in crime.  The team dynamic is great in this book, and the characters are real people with real problems (and a slightly evil bent).  This is always one of my favorite books each month.

Wonder Woman #137 - Considering that I started picking this book up in order to find out more of what was going to happen to Donna Troy, I have to stop and figure out why I'm still picking it up.  Donna's back to being a full fledge Super Hero again, and even though the old creative team is out (and let me tell you, it's a good thing, I like John Byrne, I admire what he's done for the DCU, but this stuff on Wonder Woman wasn't really that good), the new one isn't that much better.  This is another book I'll probably be dropping in the next few months.  I am a bit curious about the current storyline, though.  Diana's back from Olympus, and has taken the title of Wonder Woman back.  Her mother, though, disappears shortly after this and when Diana finds her, she's been put under a spell and made to forget her past, only to be living the life of an average house-wife.  The person behind the whole mess is pretty easy to determine... Hmmm... Which of Diana's villains would have the magical abilities, and the need to take something out on both Diana and her mother... Starts with "C," rhymes with mercy...
