Her mother, Elettra Romei, was Italian. Her father, Lawrence Chancellor, was English. She grew on Earth, where she received a high-class education. When she was a teen-ager, she decided she'd become a Starfleet Counselor, so she enrolled at Starfleet Academy and ended her studies successfully. However, when she was about to get her first assignment, she fell madly in love with a passionate pacifist from Romulus who had obtained political asylum. She went to live with him, leaving behind her promising career in Starfleet. Thanks to this long relationship, she's quite an expert on Romulan costumes and speaks fluently their language. Some years later, she met and fell in love with a distinguished Englishman named Michael Carmichael, so she left the Romulan and married Michael. They lived a happy life and traveled a lot, until - during a holiday on ice 2-3 years ago - he suffered a heart-stroke, leaving her a widow. With much time at her disposal and not knowing what to do, Isadora decided to reprise her career, so enrolled again in Starfleet and started serving aboard ships. This explains why, despite her being 50 years old, she's only an Ensign. Her ambition is to become a Commander-ranked Counselor (she doesn't mind holding Captain-or-higher ranks) and works hardly to achieve her goal. Initially, she was disappointed for having been appointed Chief Morale Officer, but now she thinks it can give a good impression on her curriculum. She has a thing for alliteration, so she demands being called "Chief Chancellor" now, and she already knows she'll demand to be called "Counselor Carmichael" when she reaches that position. In her opinion, even though the 2 sexes are equal on almost every level, there are differences, so she insists on being called "Madame Chief" and, on her part, she always addresses a female officer either as "Ma'am" or as "Madame" + rank (example: "Madame Commander" when addressing Commander D'kleth). According to her, also, a woman not wearing pearls is not a woman and she would wear a string of pearls on her uniform all of the time (she had some fights with former higher-ranking officials in the past for this reason). She's quite the snob type. When some subject and/or person is brought to her attention and she deems it/him/her unworthy of her, it's her trademark to dismiss the subject and/or person with a slight waving of her left hand accompanied by a snobbish: "Sė, sė..." She's got quite a fixation on tea (her favorite flavor is Darjeeling) and its allegedly calming effects. She's renowned for saying, even in inopportune moments, every day at 17:00: "Chief Chancellor to any crew-member. Attention, please: tea time!" She adores Romulans and Betazoids, thinks highly of Vulcans (excellent conversationalists, in her opinion), but can't stand Klingons, who are just barbarians according to her. Whenever she has a contact with a Klingon, as soon as the encounter is over, she starts dancing a tarantella because she's convinced that Klingon's influence is like a tarantula's bite: you have to wear its effects off through a tarantella or that darned influence will grow within you like a cancer and, in the end, you'll wind up being a gross barbarian. As already stated, she's a tarantella dancer, but also a fine tango dancer. As a matter of fact, she encourages every crew-member to learn how to dance tango because at the same time it charges you (and a charge is necessary in times of war) and discharges the tension built in you (and such a discharge is likewise necessary in times of war to live in harmony aboard a ship). She knows other dances as well and likes to organize dancing events for the crew. However, she does NOT dance macarena because she thinks it's a dance for gross people sung by as much gross singers. She's slightly overweight, but still agile. She's got long, blond and silver hair, but always sports a chignon when on duty. She pays a lot of attention to her appearance and is always perfectly manicured and made-up. She's often cheerful and joyous, but grows crabby rather easily. She's got quite a sharp voice.
