"The name's Cato. Goddard VonCato. I'm a private investigator. Rockets are my line of work. The search and rescue of rockets, either lost, stolen, or worst yet, rogue. They're the worst kind. And my next case."

Thus started Goddard VonCato, P.I. His first appearance was in the GARDEN STATE SPACEMODELING SOCIETY'S THE LAUNCH RACK in 1989 in a 'Pitch & Roll' article I wrote called "The Case of the Missing Missile - Another Goddard VonCato, P.I. Adventure," a mystery set around the suburbs of Penrose, CO.

In 1990, VonCato moved and set up shop at the PHILADELPHIA AREA ROCKERTY ASSOCIATION'S DELAWARE VALLEY ROCKETEER. There, he hosted a Two Minute Mystery, written by David "Ducky" Klouser.
