The Enterprise is sent to investigate an emergency distress call from the
Delta Rana system. Upon arrival, the crew discover that all of the

planet returned. The survivors refuse to leave the planet stating they can
care for themselves. The away team returns to the Enterprise to discuss the
situation and are attacked by an alien ship. Meanwhile, Troi is suffering
due to some strange music she keeps hearing in her mind, the music keeps
getting louder, and Troi can't escape it, it's clearly blocking her senses
but before Dr. Crusher is forced to put her into coma, she tells Picard that
the survivors are not what they appears to be. Picard beams down on the
planet to face the couple but oppon his return the the Enterprise the enemy
warship attacks again, this time with weapons far more powerfull hand forces
Enterprise to run away, having reconsidered the situation Picard decides to
return to the planet one more time, the warship is again gone. Picard again
returns to the planet and explains he'll not leave as long as there are
survivours who might be attacked by aliens again, back on the Enterprise the
warship appears again, this time it attacks and destroyes the standing
house, right after the Enterprise destroyes the warship with a single
torpedo, Picard orders the ship into a higher orbit at begins to watch the
planet very closely to the big surprise of the rest of the crew. Suddenly
the house reappers and the two survivors are again on the planet.
