The G2 Powermasters had no relation to the original G1 Powermasters. Instead, the Powermaster gimmick was that they had a pull back engine, which only worked when the weapons are attached. Although the vehicle modes are nice, the robot modes aren't much to look at. In fact, Hasbro was so displeased with this design that they decided not to release them on the US market and "dumped" them on the European market.
