Power Play
Part 4: It's Time!
I swing through the air, a veritable daredevil. I arc over a flagpole, and fire another line. I search for my targets. My senses are at their maximum. There! The man, having found those that he seeked, dropped down to the street, surprising them.
Donald Blake and Eugene "Puck" Milton Judd were startled. Out of nowhere, a figure garbed in scarlet dropped down out of the sky, standing in front of them. Instinctively, Puck fell back in a defensive posture.
"Calm yourself, Judd. I'm here to help," said the man. Puck wondered how the man could see, since his eyes were covered in red fabric.
"And who are you? How do we know the Master didn't send you?" questioned Blake. He was suspicious of the man, especially how he didn't seem to be looking directly at himself and Puck. It nagged at him, but not too much.
"Would the Master send someone who would warn you of an attack? Wouldn't he strike without a word?" The scarlet garbed man seemed annoyed.
"Good point. Okay then, mister, what's your name?" asked Puck.
"Daredevil."

"Blake, Judd, Daredevil, listen to me! You must hurry! I have obtained information concerning our adversary! I will guide you!" said Dr. Strange's astral form as he appeared in front of Puck, Blake, and Daredevil. Daredevil took to the rooftops, swinging and darting his way through the shadows like a creature of the night, while Blake and Puck mounted their transport, a motorcycle with a special muffler which made it silent. Blake kick-started it, and they followed Daredevil.
Upon reaching Strange's sanctum, Blake stashed the bike in an alley, and followed Puck and Daredevil inside. Waiting for them was Dr. Strange, with is Eye of Agamotto. "Dr. Strange, what have you learned?" questioned Blake as the three of them strode towards Strange.
"Using my Eye of Agamotto, I may have gathered enough evidence to pinpoint who it was that murdered the heroes years ago. Observe." Strange murmured an incantation, and images began to show in the orb. All eyes were riveted on the orb, yet Daredevil seemed to be ill at ease. Strange sensed this, and in Daredevil's mind, he said, "Do not worry, I will transmit the images directly to your mind."
"How did you know-" Daredevil began to question before the images formed in his mind. "I can see! I can see it!" he thought, joyous at being able to see anything.
The images began to get sharper. In it, a figure was swinging from a rope of some kind, similar to Daredevil. "Spider-Man," spoke Strange softly. In the Eye, the heroes could see Spider-Man swinging through the city, when a flying figure fired some sort of beam which severed his webline. The figure fired another of the blasts at the web-swingers chest, burning a large hole in his chest. Spider-Man fell to the ground, his corpse still smoking, as the figure flew off.
The Eye cleared, and a new image began to unfold. "The Hulk," murmured Blake. The Hulk was bounding in his trademark leaps at a figure standing in front of him. "HULK SMASH!!!" cried the Hulk. The figure stood his ground, and seemed to leap at the Hulk, more likely flew at him. A bright flash of light could be seen as the man's double uppercut connected to the Hulk's chin, an energy blast of some sort. The Hulk flew backwards, his lower face blown off. As the Hulk tried to regain his feet, the man flew up to the top of a cliff where a large boulder was sitting. He pushed it over the edge, and it landed on the Hulk. Green blood could be seen pooling under the rock.
Once again, the Eye cleared, and a blue-garbed quartet could be seen battling the same man on top of the Baxter Building. "The Fantastic Four," said Puck sadly. Reed Richards stretched at the man, and wrapped his arms around him. With a laugh, the man fired his blue-white fire and Reed's arms were severed. He fell to the roof in shock. Outraged, the Thing charged the man, a snarl of rage escaping his deformed lips. He swung at the man, and actually landed a blow. The man fell back, but regained his feet quickly. With a laugh, he trained his energy blasts at the roof, toppling the building. All but the Human Torch and the man perished as it fell, the Invisible Woman's forcefield overwhelmed by the debris. The Torch fired a stream of fire at the man, but the flame seemed to reverse upon itself and strike the Torch. This suprised the Torch, leaving him open for one of the man's energy blasts. The Torch fell, and the man could be seen saying something, but the words couldn't be made out.
Again, the Eye cleared, and showed Namor battling the man beneath the sea. Namor landed two of his punches, clearly hurting his opponent. The man grabbed Namor, and rocketed into the air above the ocean. Namor added his own power of flight, and walloped the man in the jaw. The man staggered back, and raised his hand. He hesitated for a split second, and then fired. The blast caught Namor, yet surprisingly, it only knocked Namor out of the sky. He landed on a pier in a New York harbor. The man stood over Namor, and removed the mask from his face. His face couldn't be seen. Namor, horrified, whispered something. No one could hear what Namor said, except for Daredevil. His extraordinary hearing allowed him to pick up the subtleties of Namor's words. He filed the word away to contemplate later.
"As you can see, Namor seemed to have ties to this man. As well, he seemed to have something against Johnny Storm. I can't deduce the killers identity, but this is a start," said Strange as the last images of Namor's corpse faded from the Eye.
"I have seen enough! These killings, no more may be allowed to occur! We must penetrate the Master's stronghold, and I must have Mjolnir! We leave now!" ordered Blake. He began to leave even as Strange protested.
"Blake- Donald, we must have a plan. We cannot just barge into this blindly!" Strange glanced at Daredevil. A small smile touched Daredevil's lips, then disapeared.
"I don't care. I couldn't stop the Master then, I have no choice but to stop him now!" Blake stormed out towards his bike.
Strange sighed. "Fine, let us go. I can transport us all inside with a mystical portal. Upon that, I want you," Strange looked at Puck, " to go with Blake to retrieve Mjolnir. We are going to need the power of Thor. Daredevil and I will keep the Master busy." Strange looked at his comrades.
"Let the power play begin."
