The Battle of Sullust...Will It Ever End???

Since early August, the Battle for Sullust has raged on, as stalwart Imperial Forces refused to give ground before the much more numerous Rebel marauders in the system. Wing Commander Stryker, in command of the forces in Sullust, was kind enough to grant us an interview via Holonet. Read the transcript below.

INN: Good morning, Wing Commander. How are things going?

Wing Commander Stryker: Not too badly, thank you. Yesterday we experienced another Rebel hit-and-fade against the Merciless - we lost one ship, they lost one too. That's pretty much the way it's been the whole time...they'll attack, lose one or two, then run away again.

INN: It sounds very tedious.

WC S: It is.

INN: So, exactly which forces are currently based in Sullust?

WC S: At this point in time, the ISD Merciless is the base ship in the system - Rapier Squadron, Shadow Squadron, The Obsidian Hand and the Emperor's Elite are all on board. Tau Squadron, on the M/FRG Tool of Pain, is inbound and should arrive within the week.

INN: And the Rebels?

WC S: Well, reports here are somewhat sketchy - the official Imperial Intelligence report tells us that there are 3 entire Rebel Wings here - but my pilots and I have never seen more than 3 pilots at once.

INN: 3 pilots? To hold a single star system? Seems rather ludicrous.

WC S: Yeah...my pilots are getting pretty restless. I'd tell you more, but it's classified at the moment.

INN: What about reports that the Rebels are about to introduce the B-Wing into the system? Or that the infamous Rogue Squadron is on its way to Sullust?

WC S: Classified.

INN: Speaking of Rogue Squadron, I've heard you once had a run-in with their leader, Wedge Antilles...?

WC S: Yes, that's true.

INN: Would you like to give us some more details?

WC S: Not particularily.

INN: Alright...I guess this interview is over then...thank you for talking to us, Wing Commander.

WC S: It's been a pleasure.
