I wrote this parody, or Filksong (if you will) about three months after the premier of Star Trek Voyager. I had read something comparing it to a space version of Gilligan's Island. Well the tune was going through my head and driving me nuts, so I sat down and within two weeks I had the lyrics.
Standard Disclaimer: Paramount is the Great Bird of the Galaxy and owns the characters and the Delta Quadrant (And the technobabble), I'm not sure who owns the Gilligan's Island theme, but I take no credit for the tune. This is just in fun, and I hope everyone enjoys.

Star Trek Voyager (sung to the theme from Gilligan's Island)
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started from Deep Space Nine, on this Intrepid Class Starship.
The crew was a mighty Federation crew, the Captain brave and sure. The ship set sail that day for a three week tour, a three week tour.
In a tetryon wave in the plasma storms of the Badlands, the ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Voyager would be lost. The Voyager would be lost.
The ship found its way to an Alien array, 75 thousand light years from home, with Tuvok, Captain Janeway, Neelix and Kes, The Maquis, the Holographic Doctor and Federation crew, here on Star Trek Voyager.
So this is the tale of our castaways. They're here for a long, long time. They'll have to make the best of things, it's an uphill climb. The Maquis Commander and Captain Janeway too, will do their very best, to keep their crews together in this unknown quadrant of space.
No repair facilities, no Federation, no replicators too, like the early explorers, they'll have to make do. So join us here each week my friends, your spirits are sure to soar with each new adventure of Star Trek, Voyager.
