AIN Operation Brittania
Goals
- Remove the Brittish Military from Scotland.
- Defend Scotland.
- Free Scotland.
- Assure that Sheffield is investigated for war crimes.
History
- PM Dan Sheffiled of England, without higher authorization launched a surprise and illegal invasion of Scotland with a blitzkrieg into Scotland and an assault on the Scottish Navy.
- Scottland informed AIN of the transgression.
- AIN began working on a plan to reinforce Scottish positions via a air and sea corridor through the Nordic Union, as well as a plan to take and hold British foreign positions overseas with the help of outside powers.
- Sheffield declared war on Romania for no reason and dispatched the British Meditteranean task force of Frigates to the Black sea to sink the Romanian navy.
- While Romania worked on a ambush for the frigates with outside help, Ukraine, Portugal, and outside members seized Gibralter. AIN reinforcments helped the scottish hold the British at Sheffield's Folly, a defensive line prepared well in advance by Scotland
- Sheffield was deposed by his own generals moments before launching an all out nuclear attack on Scotland.
Sheffiled's actions were that of a mad man. First he attacked Scotland without reason. Then he declared war on Romania, which wasn't even a public ally of Scotland nor actually involved yet in the Brittania Op. Luckily his own people realised his insanity and stopped him from launching nuclear weapons against Scotland, a nation that was merely defending its own territory (not to mention possibly launcing against Romania, the Nordic Union, & Ukraine).
Sheffield is now in English custody awaiting trial. Requirements for peace treaties have nearly all involved that he be handed over to the International War Crimes Tribunal in the Hauge for trial for crimes against humanity.
Thankfully such a threat has been removed. Also thankfully AIN has proven its worth as an alliance, and its word as a purely defensive alliance as evidenced by our restraint from invading nor attacking England proper, and our attempts to minimize and prevent further civilian casulties.
