The Treaty of Lillehammer
The independent states of The Nordic Union,
Portugal, & Israel do hereby agree to support each other in the defense of each other's country's and in the pursuit of mutual goals. Membership in this agreement shall be
refered to as membership in the Alliance of Independent Nations (AIN).
Special Provisions:
1) The Treaty shall be open for any nation to
join, should they agree to the terms set forth above, and they have been approved for membership by the Charter Members (The Nordic Union, Portugal, and Israel).
2) The Charter Members shall have no additional power over AIN, other than matters pertaining to new members that might join the Alliance.
3) The Treaty shall remain secret, so as to prevent larger nations from destroying AIN before it has acquired enough members to adequately protect itself from the former.
4) Any nation of AIN shall be allowed to extend an invitation to another nation to join AIN, however, this must be approved by the Charter Members.
5) If any member of AIN is invaded, it is presumed that
all AIN members automatically have flythrough rights
through all other AIN members airspaces untill the
invader withdrawls.
6) AIN will be governed in the following manner: a council of three (3) leaders of member nations will be established. Issues will be placed before the council. The council will debate amongst themselves, and vote. If 2 or more council members vote to pass it, then the issue is passed by the council. If the council approves it unanimously, then a majority vote is required by the general members to pass it. If 2 out of the 3 council members pass it, then it must be passed by two-thirds majority in the general vote.
7) The council shall be made up of 3 members at all times. Each member shall be on the council through 15 proposals, staggered so that one member changes after every fifth proposal. The leaving member shall say who will replace them as long as that nation state has not been on the council more times that any other nation.
