Graduation for the new members of the Armies of the Southern Cross. Dana Sterling, Bowie Grant, and the rest of the raw recruits celebrate as they now become members of the Southern Cross. After the departure of the Robotech Exploration Force, the power had now shifted to the Southern Cross and Supreme Commander Leonard.

After several hours of celebration, assignments were given, and the recruits were sent on their way. Within a few hours, six massive ships defolded from hyperspace and approached Earth. The first target was the Space Station Liberty and Moon Base Aluce. All communication was cut off, and fighters were deployed. Little did they know what was in store for them. Little did they know it was the Robotech Masters that had now arrived to claim the Protoculture Matrix as their own.
Almost immediatly the second Robotech war started as Bioroids, which were unlike anything Earth had ever seen, were sent to deal with the oncoming mecha threat. And the Earth defenses soon found out what they were up against as the Bioroid attack force cut into the VT formations. The Veritechs took heavy losses while only destroying a few Bioroids. It seemed at that time, more than hopeless to stop them. But after a huge missle bombardment, the Southern Cross was able to bring down one of the Masters six massive motherships.

After the exploration of the ship, the human race found out what they were up against. And what was piloting those Bioriods. Clones, the Masters had thousands of highly trained and specialized clones for all sorts of work around the ship. Inculding fighting in the highly advanced Bioroid suit.

Earth wasn't about to just lay down and die by any means though. They started development on new weapons, such as the AJACS attack helecopters. While the AJACS's didn't seem to be as affective as the Battletanks, they did enjoy success over the Bioriods, finally evening out the kill ratio. With the help of all the Earth's recourses, they were able to take down depressingly few of the Masters 9 mile long ships. But the arrival of a new hope changed everything, for a short time at least. General Carpenter, from the Robotech Expedition Force that was sent to the Robotech Masters homeworld of Tirol arrived and instantly opened fire on the Masters ships. Unfortunatly the entire force was quickly wiped out, with Carpenter barely escaping death.

With the news that the REF would not be able to lend any sort of assistance, the Southern Cross went with several head-on attacks that nearly tore them apart, while only marginally hurting the Robotech Masters. But with the help of a Zor clone, called Zor Prime, they were finally able to do some damage to the titanic ships. VT's, AJACS, and Hovertanks alike attacked vonerable points all over the Robotech Masters ships and one by one they dropped, until the falgship itself lay fermly on the ground. After an intense battle, the 15th ATAC Hovertank squad finally got into the ship, and with the help of Zor Prime, found the core. Zor Prime stayed behind and sacraficed himself, destroying himself, and the two remaining Robotech Masters with him. And so ended the raign of the Robotech Masters.
