Rules:
The rules for interacting in the channel are simple, and are as follows.
1. RESPECT, COMMON COURTESY, COMMON SENSE -- for everyone, to everyone.
2. COOPERATE -- this game is for everyone's mutual enjoyment collectively, not just any one individual's, so please cooperate with each other as much as possible...if we get too many complaints on someone, we will ask that person to leave for the betterment of the game. Everyone should have fun. If we get many complaints on you we WILL intervene. And if everyone has a problem with you, even if you are playing by the book, wee will ask you to leave if nothing else can be done.
3. NO ABUSE!!! -- absolutely no abuse will be tolerated at all; this includes but is not limited to rape, torture, harrassment and cheating. Cheating includes but is not limited to:
A) Involving a character or her/his belongings in your Storyline (SL) without her/his presence and/or permission.
B) Doing something that your character can not legally do or ignoring the effects of another character's legal actions is considered cheating. Using OOC info IC is also considered cheating (this includes using IC info that one of your characters know while playing another character who doesn't know). Characters will receive one warning and punishment if we deem they did not mean to cheat. Anyone caught cheating who we deem intended to cheat will be kicked out of the game imediately and his characters taken over as npcs.
C) Power Gaming: This is considered cheating in our game, it includes bending rules, taking advantage of the letter of the rules rather than the spirit of the rules (ie, the wording rather than the idea behind the rules) or anything else that an AST or ST designate as such.
D) Guide (not AST or ST) Presiding over his own Character: If a Guide is playing a PC, then he is not considered a guide for the purposes of any actions involving his character in any way. If he "presides" over himself in any way, then he may be held on charges of cheating.
E) Rape: Rape is punished with extreme prejudice in our game; we do not consider rape to fall under the classification of "it's only a game". To many people, especially those who have suffered it, Rape is Rape. The STs take this very seriously. Anyone perpetrating this upon another character, regardless of permission, will be automatically kicked from the game, and blacklisted on both our game and cobranet.
4. ARBITRATION OF COMBATS AND DISPUTES -- Combat scenes and other disputes will be moderated by an ST, AST or Guide. If one is not available, the scene or dispute can be moderated by any third person who is NOT involved directly in the combat or dispute. If you disagree with a call, please let the arbitrator know immediately after the scene is finished rather than during the scene (don't interrupt the game, no one likes to be sidetracked and your request is likely to be denied flat out). The arbitrator will weigh your dispute and rewrite the scene if your dispute is judged to be a fair, good one. If you are still not satisfied then you may take it up with an AST or ST. But be prepared for them to agree and back up their guides except in very extreme cases. BloodRose does NOT log so everyone is responsible for their own logging.
5. THE STORY COMES FIRST -- Story is primary, rules are secondary; if you want to do something which is not in the WW rules, talk to an AST or ST. All we can say is no, but we might say yes :)
6. FINAL SAY -- STs have final say where game mechanics and rules are concerned: period, end of subject.
7. GOLDEN RULE -- STs reserve the right to invoke the Golden Rule at any time; any and all rules are subject to change at any time on a case by case basis.
