Meryln Temple is Caleb's older sister. Before her death she rarely spoke after her mother died until one fateful night she uttered the famous line;
"Someone's at the door........"
On that same night she was killed, her neck broken by Sheriff Buck, leaving young Caleb heartbroken. She remained close to Caleb after her death, and stayed with him to save him from Lucas Buck.
She even manages to become alive again for a short while, borrowing the life of an un-born child.
