FLESH MADE SIN
All right all you sons-a-bitches! Get ready to reach down and grab your precious reproductive sacs because your liable to have them torn off when this disc finds its way into your cd player. This is a call to all the fans of pure Thrash. Holland's FLESH MADE SIN release their second MCD and though they seemed to go rather unnoticed after their first, if this disc circulates well they are sure to get the sort of recognition they rightly deserve.Masterwork In Blood is vicious, cold-blooded, heartless Thrash that rides the threshold with Death Metal. Those who thrived off vintage DARK ANGEL and older KREATOR will get the most out of this release. Crafted out of crazed, maniacal riffage and high-speed drumming, Masterwork In Blood harkens us back to the days when the aforementioned bands were at their pinnacle. Since the recent revival of this sort of Metal we've heard plenty of bands attempt to resurrect that nostalgic sound. A lot of what I have heard has been quite good, and just as much pretty sub-par. However, FLESH MADE SIN are among those handful of bands that seem to have a perfect connection with the past that has them cranking out seriously classic-sounding, bloodthirsting Thrash Metal. The disc's opening track (after a rather pointless intro), "Lustful Killing" decapitates the listener with a whirlwind of coniption-inducing riffs and faster than light drumming. The pace never lessens from here on out, escalating into the closer, "Slicing The Throat" which has the definitive hallmarks of early SLAYER and KREATOR. If you remember the days of Terrible Certainty and Haunting The Chapel, you get an idea of my analogy. Now compund that by injecting an element of lyrical sickness sure to nauseate the faint-hearted. Walla!
I sincerely hope FLESH MADE SIN land the deal they have earned with this release as I never get tired of Thrash Metal done the old fashion way. Until then, I have no other option but to recommend you yourself snatch up your copy.
