This is a surprisingly good recording of the singalong at John's 31'st birthday party. These aren't seperate tracks but rather one continuous track like a concert, with perhaps a couple of pauses edited out. John, Yoko, Phil Spector, Ringo Starr and many others all joined in. Some instrumentation is also present. One of the best songs is Yellow Submarine: John hushes everyone but Ringo when he sings his part, then everyone joins in the chorus. It's also interesting to hear John lead the group into Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey. So this is a great lennon album totally unspoiled by the Anthology.--Notes from Tom's
