It Don't Come Easy

1. It Don't Come Easy 3:29
2. It Don't Come Easy 3:29
3. Goodnight Vienna 2:47

The two takes of It Don't Come Easy were recorded at Abbey Road Studios in either February or March 1970 with George Martin producing. These mono versions feature different vocals than the commercial version but with the same backing tracks. Also present were George Harrison, Steve Stills and Klaus Voorman. The highlight of the disc is a totally new stereo version of Lennon's Goodnight Vienna. The songs was recorded in July 1974 at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and features an intro by John Lennon. This is one disc worth searching out. The tapes for these tracks more than likely came from Yellow Dog's vaults as Midnight Beat thanks Yellow Dog Records 'for their valuable assistance.' The disc itself is shaped like an apple and is green (the same as the official Apple label).
