Here is a little background information on the band.
Click on the name of the band for a short sound sample
Dan Ford:
Dan is the lead singer and
rythm guitarist for the band. With nine years of piano experience under
his belt, he taught himself how to play guitar about three years ago. Dan's
musical influences and favorites include the Beatles, U2,
Dave
Matthews Band, Lowest of the
Low, Barenaked Ladies,
and Simon and Garfunkel. In his
spare time, he enjoys basically anything that involves himself being wet.
Including swimming and extreme watersports. Dan plans on attending Boston
University next fall.
Jake Ford:
If
you know the Ford brothers, you might know that they are twins. If you
were to only see them however, you would think that there must have been
a mix up at the hospital. These two are like a night of bingo in a biker
bar. (A moment of silence for the Brown Baron.) They look and act completely
foreign from one another.(This probably makes them both very happy.)
Anyway, Jake is the one that
you will see with a Bass in one hand, and a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich
in the other. Besides being the bassist, he is also the one that is (most
of the time) hitting those crisp harmonies. Jake attributes his funky style
to bands such as; The Grateful Dead, Rusted Root, Dave
Matthews Band, Grand Funk Railroad, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
He loves mountain biking and playing his bass, and for some reason has
an extreme fascination with skipping rocks. Jake plans on attending Indianapolis
University next fall.
Peter Gruendike:
Peter
is the lead guitarist of the band. He is also a self-taught guitarist,
learning to play about three years ago. His favorites and influences include;
Lowest
of the Low, James Taylor,
Tragically
Hip, Wilco, and Son
Volt. When he has free time, he enjoys rock climbing, skiing, and fly-fishing.
Peter will be a sophmore at Plattsburgh State University next year and
then plans on transferring to the Environmental Science school at Syracuse
University.
The band is currently playing with a new drummer, Anthony Giardino, who may be the answer to their ongoing problem with finding a steady one. Previously they have played with Jim Leventhal and Keith Krause.
Anthony Giardino:
Anthony
is the newest addition to the band and seems to be fitting in extremely
well. He has been playing since he was thirteen, and has mostly been involved
in Jazz projects. He also plays some guitar. His influences include; Dave
Matthews Band, Ben Folds Five,
Dave Brubek, and James Taylor.
He enjoys mountain climbing and will be returning as a Senior at Ken West
next year.
