Anno Bastardi 1997 Handful of Hate were born during the autumn equinox 1993 e.v. from the obscure minds of Nicola (Gt / Vox) and Ugo (Bs), who decided to put on music their own knowledge and experiences in magical and occult fields, with the help of the new guitarist Andrea. In summer 1994 e.v. the band suffered of some line-up problems, principally dued to the tragic death of the bass player Ugo; thing solved with the enter of Adriano (Bs) in october '94 e.v. and J.M. (Dr) in January '95 e.v. During the next months from the new members enter, H.o.H. released the long awaited debut demo "Goetia Summa", a manifest of insane and brutal black violence, containing 25 minutes of old tracks composed by Ugo as well as new ones: among the others "Sadness", a majestical funeral march dedicated to the dead brother... The band played some successful live-shows together with: Necromass, Entirety, Mortuary Drape... and signed a full-lenght cd deal with Northern Darkness Records. The new stuff, recorded during the 11th full-moon 1996 e.v., offers a mature band, able to play a fast eclectic and elitarian black metal, out of trends, that put on evidence the excellent technical and compositive skill of this Italic act. During the recording sessions Andrea and Adriano were fired out from the band, and replaced by two new members, Marco (ex-Necromass, guitarist) and Andrea (ex-Arum, bassist). "Qliphothic Supremacy" is a passage to enter into the most abyssical dimensions of magic, an exploration through the left hand path tantric rituals, an astral journey to the qliphoths, in the quest of the essence of evil! The band is actually working in new stuff. Soon on tour. |
