HazelWood News:

07-22-99

Hazelwood tried in vain to record a demo on Tuesday night but was largely unsuccessful, despite what Dawsom says.

Hazelwood is also desperately looking for places to book shows at, so if you or one of your friends has any ideas, please e-mail us.

While we're here lets talk about this web page, and lets give credit or criticism wherever credit or criticism is due.

Paul Fetters created this page all by himself! And that means ME!

I spent endless hours robbing other web pages of their graphics and im the one who bunched up page after page of annoying greens and browns.

So if youre gonna love or hate this page, now you know, I did it!, I was proud to do it, and ill do it again !! wahaha!

Anyways, Dawson lost his high-hat stand somewhere close to his house, so if any of you see a high-hat stand roaming around the city, it's Dawson's.

Cameron is in the process of completely re-designing his Honda Civic so he can fit an air-intake pipe on it. He and I are planning a trip to Oklahoma around Aug. 10th, which should be totally cool.

Paul F. fixed the fuel filter on his truck only to have the fuel pump start squirting gasoline all over the place.

With both of those problems now fixed, Paul can get on with his life and not worry about being blown up from an errant spark.

Paul F. also broke a guitar string on Tuesday night practice causing he and Cameron to have to speed recklessly to Guitar Center to get strings before it closed.

And on the last note, Dawson is no longer the "official" filthy hairy ape of HazelWood, it is rumored that yesterday he actually showered and shaved.

7-27-99:

As always HazelWood continues to practice and write new material, and another attempt was made at recording a demo, this time it was done with a 4-track courtesy of Doug G. from the band "7-in the Sky".

They're sort of a 80's throwback band but Doug is a punk rocker at heart.

Cameron has a cold that Fetters infected him with, so everyone be sure to feel sorry for him.

Cameron and Fetters were stalked at Fashion Square mall on Sat. by two 12yr old chicks. After taking evasive action, Fetters had led himself and Cameron to safety only to have Cameron lead them right back into danger again.

Fetters had completely fixed his truck, BUT, the other day a piece of metal came flying out from under the truck and now the front bumper is rattling

and Fetters was almost killed this week by his irate little sister for deleting over 85 megs of Backstreet Boys files on the computer.

Dawson is still a filthy ripper.

8-3-99:

HazelWood is anxious about it's first show in over 4 months and has added 5 "new" songs to it's set, with Cameron working on 2 or 3 more.

Dawson did his drum tracks last night for HazelWood's upcoming 6-song demo and Cameron will be laying down his bass tracks tonight, hopefully the demo will be done in time for the show on the 6th .

Doug G. from "7 in the Sky" has taught Fetters how to "tap" on the guitar and so in memory of Heavy Metal music, Fetters will be trying to put this new knowledge to use. God help you all.

last note: Subway is HazelWood's "Restaurant of the Week".

8-7-99:

HazelWood's first show in over 4 months in Cottonwood went very well, we extend our thanks to all the staff at Calvary Chapel of the Verde Valley for both having us and being totally fun to work with. We had a great time and hope to come out there again soon.

Cameron is tired and got a blister on his finger.

Dawson was about to beat up his big brother all night.

And Fetters broke a string on his ESP.

 10-04-99:

HazelWood was at Boston's tonight and played to a screaming crowd of like 5 people

all around the show went well and we all thank the kind people at Boston's for letting us hang with them.

Cameron never sleeps and is a walking zombie all of the time.

Dawson is slowly covering his entire drum kit with 80's metal band's stickers.

Fetters is tired of hearing people complain that he doesn't update this web page ever.
