"Cool Blues Walk" is the coolest sound to come out of Chicago since Albert �The Iceman" Collins last recorded there in the 1980�s. This is tough, West-Side Chicago blues with al the musical diversity that Clearwater fans have come to expect. "Cool Blues Walk" will become known as THE definitive Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater album to own. It captures Eddy laying down his most soulful vocals, the meanest guitar licks of his long and glorious career and writing brilliant songs (including the title track which is sure to become a blues classic).

Produced by Duke Robillard, the album features support from the Duke Robillard Band: Robillard, guitar; Doug James, baritone sax; Dennis Taylor, tenor sax; John Pack, bass, and Marty Richards, drums. Special guests include Tom West, piano and organ; Al Basile, cornet, and Jerry Portnoy, who blows some of that Windy City harmonica magic on Willie Dixon�s "I Just Want To Make Love To You" and "The Love I Have For You."

And, in a team-up that is an unusual as it is inspired, Marilyn Mair and Mark Davis -- of the classical mandolin / nylon-string guitar Mair-Davis Duo -- guest on Clearwater�s "I Love You."

That Duke and Eddy make a potent team is proven in the album�s 11 songs (eight of them penned by Clearwater). Love songs; songs that swing like mad ("Bad Mammer Jammer"); songs that reveal Eddy�s affection for country twang ("Nashville Road"), along with some of the best damn blues songs that Eddy has ever recorded make "Cool Blues Walk" one of the finest records of "The Chief�s" career.
