KISS Cleared in Lawsuit
KISS has successfully defended a 1997 lawsuit filed
against the band and PolyGram Records by VINCENT CUSANO (VINNIE
VINCENT). Not only were all of Cusano's 14 claims rejected by the
California court, he will be responsible for over $80,000 in court
costs and attorney's fees incurred by KISS in defending the suit, plus
additional sanctions.
METALLICA
On Thursday, Metallica filed suit against Napster.com
(a tech company that provides users with an interface to search for
and download MP3s) for copyright infringement among other allegations
- also named in the suit are The University of Southern California,
Yale University and Indiana University for failing to block access to
Napster as other schools have
VOIVOD
The new live album is scheduled to be released any time now, the next
studio
album will be released this summer - the band has contributed five
songs to the video game "Onslaught" - Relapse is said to be
working on a Voivod tribute album
SINERGY
The forthcoming album 'To Hell And Back' has been completed with a
revamped lineup - Kimberly Goss and Alexi Laiho have been joined by guitarist
Roope Latvala (Waltari), bassist Marco Hietala (Tarot) and drummer Tommi
Lillman (To Die For)

Guitarist Perry Grayson has left the band -
auditions are being held for a
replacement.
