AWARDS NEWS!
FotL was also nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Awards, alongside people like The Chemical Brothers ("Dig Your Own Hole"), Radiohead ("OK Computer") and (yeagh!)The Spice Girls (Imaginately titled "Spice"). The lads were 3/1 favourites to win, but then dropped into second after Radiohead became 2/1. The lads lost out to drum 'n' bass maestro Roni Size, though. "Music For The Jilted Generation" was also nominated for the award when it was first released. It was beaten into second by M People. Gives you an idea about the judges' lack of taste..

The Prodigy have also been nominated for an award at the "Music Of Black Origin" awards to take place sometime in November in London. They're up against Puff Daddy, Coolio, The Brand New Heavies and that man again, Roni Size. Good luck guys!

It has been alleged that "The Fat Of The Land" is The Prodigy's last album. I don't know abouth the reliability of the rumours, but I hope they are false. It has also been revealed that Keef wanted to re-name the album "The Land Of The Fat" for it's release in the US, but Madonna who owns the US label that they are signed to refused. Shame, it sums up America so well... (only kidding guys, don't sue me!)
