Chazz

Chazz was born on August 24, 1973 in Aberdeen, WA. His birth was unexpected while his mother was visiting Washington at that time. Chazz was then brought home after the delivery to Long Beach, CA., another large city in L.A. county. He attended PolyTechnic High school which is the place where he started a musical avenue. Chazz reunited with a long time grade school friend where they jointly decided to start a band. His friend Dusty was anxious to try singing while Chazz would choose to play the bass. A five man band was formed that went by the name of Amnesty, which performed at several night clubs. Chazz left the group after about 6 months due to his beginning of different tastes(this group was set on heavy metal).

Chazz was forced to live in the wrong hood in Long Beach when the L.A. Riots broke out. Chazz who just turned 18 at the time was upset with all the hate, anger, and destruction in the air.Coincidently just at that time he was able to find his Long Lost Dad who was hidden from him by Chazz's mother.

His father who still lived in North Carolina after the split up when Chazz was 4, invited his son to come out there, who also then sent him a plane ticket(Chazz's first flight). Upon arrive, Chazz experienced a dramatic culture shock toward his new envirnment. L.A. was all he knew at the time. He found that he could leave his key's in the car and doors unlock, which give him a very secure feeling. This is the place where he decided to start a home based computer service, which turned out real well.

Through all the madness that's involved running a bussiness, Chazz had little time to play the music he longed for. His dad bought him a 1974 Fender Bullet guitar which Chazz began learning and playing his own licks everyday, sometimes all day. Through all his practice, Chazz began writing several songs of his own, about what he's seen in his life. Since he didn't have the band he was used to, he settled for a Oscar Smith electrical acoustic, which he used to perform his songs at parties.

In 1998, Chazz quit his business and decided to head back to L.A. to, once again, try to catch a dream in which he had to chase one more time. Though he misses Mars Hill, NC he is now set on getting his work professionally recorded there in L.A. before he head back to his new home in Carolina. Chazz will be leaving California in 1999, but intends to leave his music behind. He cares less about the wealth of being a rock star, but would very much for the world to hear the messages that he delivers in his songs.

This web site will be updated with the 32 bit stereo versions of his songs when they are finished being developed in the studio. Please check back at a later time to hear his finest work. The tracks on this site are just low quality, mono takes of Chazz, a mic, and acoustic guitar. But he feels that it will get the idea accross. Please Email your questions or comments to Chazz, he would like to hear them.
