I made this page inspired for a
crash of my friend Silverphoenix, (my Geocities CL colleague, female), that spent several
days reinstalling Windows).
(To help him and all other computer users.

I tested this method with Windows
95 and 98.
Too many people suffer terriblely with corrupted Windows. Despaired to normalize their PCs
they format their HDs, losing valuable files !
In that task, DAYS also are losed, beyond of the suffering inside...
Me too, suffered a lot with it, before discover my funny solution, here explained.
I hear even power users (and even software DEVELOPERS), suffer because of
Windows crashes!... (formating C). I tested several softwares that promises
solve the corrupted Windows problem, but NONE really solved it in my tests, like my method...
I heard about delete Windows through DOS (deltree), but it doesn't work. Maybe it doesn't
work for me, that don't understand DOS. Maybe for some DOS expert it maybe possible.
No more panic ! I discovered a real and simple solution for unstable
computers ! Thanx to God's Mercy, I discovered a way to truely
reinstal Windows, deletin manually only the (corrupted) Windows folder, neither formating
HD nor touch anything beyond it, reinstallin a new, clean, perfect Windows !
It's like to buy a new computer.
(Simple and safe. No danger. No rescue programs required).
(In only a day, you will correct
everything !)
Always you reinstal Windows be careful and read this text.
Print this instructions, to remember what to do during Windows reinstallation and during DOS typing.
First save carefully all your customized data that is inside Windows folder, to a new
folder in your HD. (Desktop shortcuts, IExplorer Favorites, Dialer.ini, start menu,
wallpaper, customized logos, etc).
(Don't worry with data into other folders.
You only will delete manually the Windows folder)..
Then create a new folder named "z" in
"C" (HD).
Then copy your Windows installation program from CD to "z".
(In my long experience in this method, I
found it's better use this Windows installation program from HD, and not from CD or
floppies,
due to velocity amd practicity).
Then restart computer IN
DOS MODE. At the DOS screen, type "z/instal".
("instal", "setup"or other setup word which is at your
Windows installation program. See the right word before run Windows installation program,
and write it in a paper).
Follow the normal progress screeens of the begining of Windows installation.
When the installation asks the name of the folder you want install Windows, type "Windowsc".
("Windows" with a letter "c" at the end, without the " ").
(Install this "Windowsc" with "compact" option) (because this will be not the definitive Windows. It's only a temporary Windows that will be deleted later. In a later step you will install the definitive normal Windows).
When the Windows installation
program reboots and you enter into this "Windowsc", DELETE (THE
CORRUPTED) WINDOWS.
Then restart again computer IN DOS MODE.
At the DOS screen, type "z/instal" enter. Follow the normal screens of the
installation. When the installation asks the name of the folder you want install Windows,
type "Windows" normally.
Follow the screens and instal Windows, now carefully complete.
(Configurin everything according to your personal taste).
When you enter into the definitive Windows, DELETE "WINDOWSC". Paste to Windows folder your Desktop shortcuts, Internet Favorites, Dialer.ini, etc,
THAT'S ALL !!!
(Now you have a real new Windows,
like when you bought your computer !!! Reconfigure several things like colors
resolution to millions of colors, reinstal sound card driver, modem, Word and all programs
that require reinstallation due to Windows deleting, etc...
