Aswell as a 500 TiS award...

The recent releases by Cactus titled 'Planet Andy' and 'Here's Andy' have both been conceptualized through this great man:

Yay Andy!

Tracks by Cactus
Attack Point (554 kb)
A fairly dynamic techno/breakbeat piece from Cactus. This song has quite involved precussion and runs 4:40 (Cactus's second longest song to Shockwave!) Fans of the harder variety of music will definetly like this one! =)
Release date: 21/9/99
Free To Die (Game Version) (323 kb)
A short metal piece by cactus for a game (hence the "game version" bit) A extended version may be unavoidable.. despite my hatred for the style. *sigh. Metal enthusiasts might find this a satisfyingly new genre for Cactus's experimentation... Release date: 9/9/99 yay!

State Of Ambience Remix [8 Bit version] (815 kb)
Cactus's Remix of the awesome Joeb The Man track! Unfortunatly due to size difficulties this version was reduced to 8 bit to make it under 1 mb. I have made a reverbed mp3 version, but I am still in the process of ermm. evicting it if you will? Either way, this remix took a fair bit of work, and I think it payed off :)
Release date: 8/8/99

Acid Run (980 kb)
Cactus's first try at Acid Jazz, and it sounds pretty darn good! very, atmospheric, and unusual, but still with a nice deep bass-line and compleicated drum beat. Not to be missed - probably Cactus's best tune yet, yay! Release date: 23/5/99

Mind Control (907 kb)
Cactus's masterpiece!Psy. trance, and damn hard psy. trance at that! This track is definetly on of those "play loud to get full effect" songs. I seriously recommend. I really do! Release date: 19/6/99

Planet Andy [8 bit version] (917 kb)
Cactus's latest goa release... and possibly his best! Plenty of loops, and all 8 bit :( But anyho, it has some er.. different goa style things, weird samples in places.. but good! I like it, you should like it! Release Date: 23/5/99

Critical Exposure [eddited version](994 kb)
One of my finest tracks (I think) . very upbeat techno with a touch of goa. A MUST download for all Cactus fans!

Here's Andy! [8 bit version] (497 kb)
One of Cactus's greatest songs EVER! Striked up a doozy of a score at MA, that's right fans.... 10/10! yayyayyay! Dance/goa. sweet! Strongly recommended!!!

Decimation [8-bit version] (524 kb)
This is possibly Cactus's finest music achievement (well at least in the psy trance field anyway). It has the suculent essence of Critical Exposure, yet the hardened Industrial ye-haw of 8 trillion ways to die... in short- I like it, you should like it!

Dancing Penguin (186 kb)
A chipish/happy release from Cactus, it was intended to go with a cute little clip Cactus devised with this kid and a dancing penguin. Not recommended, only made for fun people! Release Date: 5/6/99

!Life! [Edit] (319 kb)
This is a glamourous remake of Cactus's renowned old track.. !Life! (obviosuly) although this verion is much better creating a some what dance atmosphere.. typical to dance music. I like it! New melodies and stuff.. still not 100%~ but still pretty close to the sound I was trying achieve!

Far Reaches Of the Universe (813 kb)
A fairly desent piece of music, D'n'B is the style. The song has a nifty bassline, with some pretty complex beats to match, yay! Not the best but still pretty damn good :)

Insect Culture (457 kb)
A very interesting piece with a fluent combination of classic hard-ass techno with a bit of metal and psy. trance.

Popcorn Remix (998 kb)
Cactus's first remix in a llllong time. Made only for fun, so anyone who was contemplating sending me 50 billion letters of hate mail, don't take this seriously!!! If you are looking for a track that actually displays some musical talent d/l any of the three songs below I beg of you!

Sudden Impact (406 kb)
This track has some good parts and some quite ordinary parts, it falls gracefully into the average box, goa/trance.

Troubled Lands [extended version] (305 kb)
Nice piano song with a great panflute finish! Just like the original but with that good ol' fashioned panflute- direct from "Abandoned Hope" by the renowned tracker... RibinaBJ~ yay!!!

China Syndrome [Edit] (750 kb)
Hooray! I wonderful piano/dance tune awaits this d/l! If it weren't for the 2:15 duration this would be a doozy! Still, one of Cactus's classic tracks, and may even weasel onto his CD (if RibinaBJ ever manages to make me one :)

Out of Reach (508 kb)
An interesting piece from Cactus, the execution of piano/"prodigy beats" was quite immpressive, although that song falls a tad short in the field of greatness by the use of semi-loops as the drum beat and a pan flute loop occasionally through-out the song. Still pretty good!

Shock Wave (461 kb)
A groovy dance release that despite the repetativness Cactus still likes immensly! Combines acid with the groovy dance intro! yaypod!

Up and Out (443 kb)
A Gronda Gronda style twitch speed-er. Lovely piano melody comes in at the end, although the entire track is dragged out a bit too much, great work! yay!

The 1st City of Gold [Edit] (262 kb)
Old simple tune, although it features some intriguing "70's style" precussion it is fairly average, TiS = 8.

The Indefinite Beyond [8 But Version] (655 kb)
Cactus's Acid World Clone, simple... yet effective.

Nuronic Intuition (633 kb)
This is a nice little dance/house piece. Good song, nice melodies, but a bit messy.

Atheia has fallen [Edit] (286 kb)
Old song, but still has some catchy melodies and a fairly decent bassline.

Animation [Edit] (515 kb)
Again an old song, includes some interesting spacey samples, although there is an annoying "animators bring images to life" speech sample overused completely, the song does provide an alternate style to the usual "space" genre.

It is a bug... [Edit] (307 kb)
One of my first dance songs, still has a good second melody and a few nice cuts/fills.

Indefinite Emulation [Edit] (457 kb)
By Cactus and RibinaBJ, has a very good guitar melody and a cute little piano riff at the end. Worth the d/l I guarentee!

Dragon Slayer [Edit] (215 kb)
Another glorious old song! This illustrates some bizaree techniquies that actually sound pretty good! Classification lends towards goa/techno. Has been subjected previously to Cactus's *ahem* mix experiments.

Eternal Life [Edit] (759 kb)
Quite a good song, a landmark acomplshment for Cactus anyhow. Features some nice psy. trance lines, and although a bit "canned" (quote TiS) is worth the download!

Sand Storm [Edit] (587 kb)
Goa! yay! A good fast techno/goa piece, and accidental similarity to internal speed, but is top notch Cactus music!
