Autobiography of Rita Richards

So, who is this author of "Erik"?  I'm a native of Colorado who actually lives in Colorado (a rarity nowadays!).  I was born in Denver in 1955; grew up in Longmont; attended the University of Southern Colorado; graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Liberal Arts degree in History, and married the same year, 1979.  My husband is a retired Air Force Staff Sergeant, and we have lived in California, Alabama, and Florida before moving back to Colorado in 1986.  We currently reside in Aurora, Colorado, USA, where I am one of those rarest of dinosaurs, a stay-at-home mom for our only child, a son who is now 14, as well as to our two dogs, the infamous Gracie and BrunHilda!  To keep my sanity, I am a volunteer docent at Byers-Evans House and Four-Mile Historic Park, both of which are in Denver, just west of Aurora.  And, if that isn't enough to keep me busy, I play euphonium (some call it a baritone) for the VFW State of Colorado Band, the oldest band still in existence in the state (if you don't believe me, you should see all the gray haired members of the band!), as well as indulge in my favorite hobbies of writing, singing (which I just took up this last year!), and sewing.
