Carin's Phanfile

Note from archive keeper:

This is Carin's Phanfile. Here I will keep a file on her phanrelated activities. I have allowed her to write her own introduction but if I find out stuff she has hidden for me I will file it here also for future reference.

OG

My name is Carin Klabbers and I am a Phan since 1994, when my husband (then still my boyfriend) took me for the first time in my life to a theatre show.  It was   the Phantom of the Opera and I was sold right away. I came in to contact with other Phans, created for us the Phantom friends (dutch/beglian fanclub) and made the  simple magazine "Phantom Info" (years later that became the more professional  Musical Friends Magazine). The last years the Phantom Friends have fallen apart due to the lack of interest. My interest in Phantom is in al incarnations of this story.

Except for Phantom info I also wrote articles for the german Chandelier from The Phantoms underground fanclub. I also worked as assistent editor and wrote articles for the  semi professional international POTO (Phantom of the Opera) Magazine from Carrie Hernandez. Due to the professional way POTO magazine worked I managed to arrange several interviews, press invitations for shows and a backstage tour.  In this period I also started writing Phanfiction (two of my stories were published in Rhapsody on Leroux, volume II).

My love for the story about the Phantom of the Opera had a great impact on my life. Indirectly (through my work for POTO magazine) it caused that now my articles and stories are published and I am getting paid for my work. (see my personal homepage)

number of times I visited the musical: 20x

11 x in The Netherlands, 2x in Germany (hamburg), 2x londen, 2x belgium (Antwerpen), 1x New York, 1x Germany (Essen), 1x Las Vegas
