The Purpose
|
The history of the Maze of Misanthropy goes back a long way. It started out as a thin cavern that led between Sylvain Marilyn's Domain and Darrkro's Domain. as more and more people began using it, Sylvain Marilyn & Darrkro became increasingly curious. They began commisioning new tunnels to be built. As the centuries crept by, the paths became bigger, wider, longer, and---more dangerous. When the Fascist Utopia was formed, Sylvain Marilyn & Darrkro had a devious idea of how they could use the caves. As more and more people were being imprisoned for treason by the Fascist Utopia, the prisoons became overcrowded. Execution lost its interest. They decided to close off the gates to the caves and make them a maze. This idea worked for a long time and still works today. Although something unexpected did occur. As more and more people were killed in the cave, many strange things were happening. while they were still in the maze, they managed to uncover strange beasts, ranging from small cave goblins to huge dragons. A certain sorcerer by the name of Kaehos Lytefethurr cast a terrible spell on the entire when he was uncovered by some prisoners. No one who enters the caves will trust anyone. There will be hatred for every other living creature as long as you are in the maze. Sylvain Marilyn & Darrkro were very pleased with this. The spell proved extremely effective. Thats why today, the caves are known as THE MAZE OF MISANTHROPY!
|
The purpose of the maze is to entertain Sylvain Marilyn & Darrkro. It also has another purpose. There is only one way out, and so far no one has ever found it. The exit leads to a place that christians might call "the Garden of Eden." It leads to a place called the Nirvana Planes, but more specifically, a place known as Sylvain Marilyn & Darrkro's Treausre Vault. If you manage to escape, aall your crimes will be forgotten and you will be able to spend eternity in the treasure vault.

Instructions
|
Your instructions are as follows. Enter the maze, don't get killed, find the treasure vault, and get out. This won't be an easy task at all though. The maze is filled to the brim with monsters, demons, sorcerers, elves, and so much more. They will kill you on sight, so be careful to avoid them whenever possible.
HOW TO PLAY
Finding your way through the maze is quite simple. Each time you move on to a room, you will see a couple of things on your screen. First you will see something called "Your Surroundings..." This gives a detailed description of what exactly you are looking at in your current room. The next thing you will read is "enemies..." This will give a detailed description of your opposition or of anything else thats alive and breathing in the maze. This will describe what the "enemy" does to you, and it describes what your choices to do are in brief detail. The last thing you will read is called "Think it over..." This explains all of your choices in detail and gives the pros and cons of that particular choice. Which decision you make is entirely up to you. Then you will have your choices displayed before you at the bottom of the page. When you follow one of those links, it will take you to another room of the maze. When you reach that part of the maze, it displays what happens to you because of that decision, whether it is good or bad under the "Your Surroundings..." Menu.
RULES OF THE MAZE
1. Never under any circumstances should you use your "back" button on your browser. That is cheating and we will be able to know whether you've used it or not. 2. If at any time, if you see any material that you find the least bit offensive, such as certain things that appear along your journey, use common sense. We aren't going to change the whole maze for you. Simply leave the maze and never come back. DO NOT send us any e-mails asking us to change anything. 3. DO NOT send us any e-mails asking for help, and DO NOT send any e-mails complaining. If you don't have something nice or cnstructive to say, then don't say anything at all. 4. Even if your grandmother was having trouble with our maze, DO NOT help her at all. This is a game, and its a ONE PLAYER game. DO NOT help anyone or tell anyone the solution.
