BTW.: I believe this program is legal right now.
It is a frontend to TOMPG file-to-file encoder from Xing Tech
which could be downloaded for free from Xing's FTP-site some time ago.
As far as I know there is no restriction for redistributing TOMPG.EXE,
so there should be no problems including it in a freeware program
(which helps informing people about the speed of Xing Tech's products)

People who still like MPlifier (although I have just written the interface)
don't have to bother about the following:
I don't like the interface from XingMPEG Encoder (it is a mess to
create a profile for every single encoder setting), so I decided to
write my own when I discovered TOMPG. The quality is good enough for me
and I think for others as well. Becaus TOMPG is really not wide spread
I had to include it in the MPlifier package anyway and I wanted MPlifier
to interact with it as good as possible (I hate frontends which don't
know about the current encoding process and stuff). So I came to the
conclusion to just hide it as good as possible from the users eye.
I know that MPlifier 0.1b - 0.3 were illegal but Xing doesn't seem
to care about TOMPG in any way, so why sould I?

Anyway, I will continue developing MPlifier!
