When Brian was born he had a VSD (heart murmur). When he was 5 he got a scrape on his knee which got infected and infected his heart...that made him almost die, his mother would wait at his bedside to wait for his condition to change. After a lot of praying, Brian's condition changed for the better. As Brian himself calls it..."it was just a miracle."

When Brian went for his heart surgery, the doctors found out that he had another whole in another part of his heart the size of a half dollar (US .50 cents). The doctors said that developed from the way he was always dancing around on stage. The doctors had also found fatty deposits in one of his arteries, from all the McDonalds they ate on tour.
