My favourite guitarists are:

* Richie Sambora

A great rock-musician with a great voice! Man, this guy really rocks! Also love his bluesy guitarstyle

and of course his Fender-guitars! You can also check out his new Signature-Fender at www.fender.com.

It's much more a classic strat, but it still has some typical Sambora-trademarks. Unfortunately he removed the

Floyd Rose-bridge and the DiMarzio PafPro Humbucker on his new guitar. Have you heard his solo-albums? Real

good music!

* Steve Vai

Don't even think about playing the guitar like Mr. Vai! I especially like his 'Passion And Warfare'-album!

Lots of weird noises ands strange effects, but great rock music. I also like the older stuff, like the Flexable-songs

and his work with David Lee Roth. Great guitars too, the Ibanez Jems and Universe! This is the man who really started

to play a seven-string! Also check www.jemsite.com or www.ibanez.com.

* Eddie Van Halen

What more can you say about Eddie Van Halen? This guy had a major influence on guitarists all over the world.

With his amazing playing-style with new techniques, like two-hand-tapping , he really started a new generation of

guitarists. I think his music was better in the earlier years of Van Halen, you know, with the homebuilt guitars. And I really liked

the voice of David Lee Roth!

* Yngwie J. Malmsteen

One of the greatest guitarists I know! Okay, maybe his solo's are much of the same, but his ability to merge classical music

with straight-to-the-edge rockmusic is unique. I really love the bombastic sounds of his old Stratocaster screamin' through a wall

of Marshall-amps! One of my favourite Malmsteen-songs is 'Far Beyond The Sun'. This song is a great classical composition with amazing

guitar-work. Yngwie also has his Fender-signature guitar. It's a Stratocaster with scalloped fretboard, late '60s large headstock, brass nut

* Gershwin

Man, have you ever heard this guy play?! Guess not! Don't forget to bring your earplugs!

My favourite bands:

* Iron Maiden

The best band of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal . They started somewhere in the mid '70s. This spring they will release their

12th studio-album with their new line-up. For the very first time, they have a line-up that has 6 Maiden-members! Bruce Dickinson

and Adrian Smith are back! My favourite Maiden-guitarists are Adrian Smith and Dave Murray.

* Golden Earring

Great dutch band! The band exists for more than 30 years now, but their music is still great! In the '90s they released 2 accoustic

albums: 'The Naked Truth' and 'Naked II'. These are definately my favourite 'unplugged'-albums ever. Unfortunately 2000 will be a

sabbatical-year for them.

* Metallica

Cool band with great guitarsounds. What more can I say?
