Brazileira from Scaramouche by Darius Milhaud. It is a Samba originally writen for alto             
saxophone a small ensemble to accompany a theater production at the beginning of the                  
century.The play was "Le Malade Imaginaire " a classic by Molière. Later Milhaud made             
an arr: for two Pianos and still later for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra.
I have an arrangement for saxophone quartet SATB of this piece in Finale format.

Nick Ayoub was Saxophone teacher at the "Conservatoire de Musique du Quebec a Montreal"
until his death a few years back. These pieces are for Stage Band. I have the Scores and Parts in
hand.
He gave them to me a few years before he died as well as 6 other pieces and also a  book of 
12 "Magnificent" studies for Saxophone.They are very very good for developing musicianship. I
remember he told me that he wrote these studies to replace Ferling studies.He said to me"ya
know..Ferling ..after 10 or 15 of them...they realy become boring..." But I think his etudes are
diffrent from Ferling and are great.My students love them.I think you can find this at the
"CAPAC" or "Centre de musique Canadienne" in Montreal. If not the library of the Conservatoire
de Montreal must have them in hand. [I have a few copies if you can't find them.]

Well that's Special: I wrote this piece originally for sax quartet as an excersise to understand
Serial Music in 1969.
     My quartet mates didn't like it so I put it in drawer #13 and last November I took it out and 
re-arranged it for 4 vibes. Sounds Good to me. E-Mail back if you do or don't like
