Concert reviews

HOLE has been my favorite band for about four years now. I have just recently went to my first hole show. It was terrific. The best concert i have ever been to, and i've been to a lot of kick ass concerts(Marylin Manson, ICP, Smashing Pumpkins, Family Values, etc.) It turned out that Garbage was not going to be the opening band for this particular concert. It was a band called Cum ? I think, im not too sure but they weren't all that great anyways.

Courtney looked better than ever. The band couldnt have been better, one of the only faults i found in the concert was the audience! the rest of the people there sucked they didnt know how to mosh they kept pushing and pushing thats it. I was a little dissapointed that Hole only played two songs from Live Through This and only one song (the title track) from Pretty on the Inside.

Hole just played here(US) in Conneticut the 4th of Dec. it was really awesome. She was incredible. Patty  wasn't there though she's gone for good, swears they screwed her over, but the new girl, Samantha she was good, I was reading this article were she said she wanted to work for Madonna Courtney was like well that's easy she'll she you with me and she'll want you,she went on then, but you'll be back they all come back, my publisist work with her my stylist...back in a month. But anyway they were sooooo awesome, and then Courtney flashed us, it was great.

I just saw Hole last night, (06/04/99) in Santa Barbara, CA.

It was an excellent show, the entire band had alot of energy! Courtney was bitching the entire time about Santa Barbara (there are alot of wealty people here) and about how we all sucked cause "we are all rich". (Ahem, not all of us Courtney!) She kept going out into the crowd which was cool, and about half way through the show, she just started tugging people on stage. She finally got about 250 people on stage, and then played the rest of the concert with all the people up there singing along with her! She even went so far out into the crowd once that she
got on someone's shoulders and climbed over the wall into the upper seated area! It was a great, and in the end she gave away her guitar to some not-rich girl that had sat very quietly on stage the entire concert, (not jumping around and screaming like everyone else).

Anyways, it was very cool.

I just wanted to write to you about the awesome and astronomical experience i had on the weekend.
Hole headlined the Big Day Out festival across Australia and on Sunday  it was Perth's turn. After Korn, Marilyn Manson and others, Hole took the stage and blew the rest away. The last time Hole visited Perth theyb
played a club and I was underage so I missed out but four years later, I was there! Courtney was aas abrupt as ever, abusing the male members of the audience as well as making the propsition that she would fuck the
cutest guy there tha night. But besides these antics (flashing her breasts etc)the music was great. Though alot of people disagreed.

Monday night they played at a club and I went along again. It was monumental! She knew that the only people there were fans so she didn't do the psycho thing from Sunday, just entertaining dialogue and  a great
performance. The reviewer in the paper does not like her stage presence and despite saying the concert was excellant, said that  Courtney was
bad.

My real news is that I went to their hotel and met the whole band and got a cd signed! They are so different off stage and I must say that Samantha the drummer was the nicest and most accomodating, she was
really interested in talking to us and hung around for a long while.

Anyway I wanted to share my unforgettable weekend with someone who understands, because despite what the knockers said, it rocked. If you want I could scan the reviews of the gigs for you to put on your page or
just for you to read.
