Art Paul Schlosser is back, after lo-fi classics like 'I'm A Prince' and 'Be My Valentine', Art Paul
is reinventing himself this time. His former efforts were mostly based on his poor, but charming
acoustic guitar playing, but nowadays it seems that someone gave him a keyboard for his birthday.
That does not mean that he knows how to handle it, and so many songs just seem like a Art Paul
rather fighting than playing this damn thing. On the second song 'Hi-Low' he's explaining to his
audience all the things he can do with his wonderful keyboard. On the lyrics side, nothing has
changed of course, it's still that wonderful mix between innocent fun and religious gospel.
Although I am not a religious man in any way, I like Art Paul's approach to his beliefs. It's in
fact mostly about the love of God he sings, and not so much preaching. Anyway I never judge people
on their beliefs, and Art Paul Schlosser is truly unique in this World. He seems to have a goal
in his mind with what he's doing, because there are not many people releasing CD after CD with short
and underproduced - and even not well played - short songs about eating the Poppin Fresh Dough Boy
or cats that have taken a bath. It's naive, and that's what I love about it. If you think you might
be in his strange but lovely sense of humour, either visit his
