Desiderata are one of
Luxemburg's most extreme bands. On their first EP which is called 'Everyone Could...', they
underline this statement on six songs, partly sung in German, partly in English. But anyway
there are only a few real quiet moments where you can understand the lyrics. Those lyrics
are very important to Desiderata as they treaten serious subjects like personal experience
or social problems and the message is that everyone has the power to change a little bit
in our rotten society. The marvellous looking booklet is a real invitation to read the six
song lyrics. On the musical point, Desiderata are the sons of Wounded Knee, as you find lots
of parallels between both bands. The singer has an uncredible brutal voice which may also OK
to Metal fans. Most parts of the songs are brutal, too and kept at a very high speed, sometimes
interrupted by slower guitar orientated passages. 'Everyone Could...' would be an excellent
CD if the sound was a bit clearer. But I think that it's a respectable output for a debut and
