Egon Würrenlos is a 22 years old weirdo from Switzerland. As he calls himself a very egoistic
person, his project name is EGO-N. The opener and title track of his third CD welcomes you with
a funny 'Hallo, hier bin ich' and then you hear a quite poppy song. But EGO-N is much more than
just a pop entertainer. He sees himself first as a human being, but he's also a musician who
combines elements of performance, comedy and provocation. So far, Egon got quite bad reviews in
the Swiss press because of his original combination of such different elements. I suppose it's hard
for different reviewers to listen to a record with very different song: 'Ich bin ein einem Lautsprecher
eingesperrt' is a kind of German Diskurs Pop, 'Ich habe mir soeben ne Kugel durch den Kopf geknallt'
is a 12 minutes long hypnotic electronic song. 'Isabelle' is a satire of sixties easy listening
music. The title track is replayed as a German HipHop version 'Hier bin ich' and in a strange version
sung under a shower (also available as a video track). Very strange is also the monumentalic 'Und
plötzlich hast du das Gefühl, sehr viel Alkohol trinken zu müssen' which contains
elements of 'Also sprach Zarathustra' and 'The Wall'. A cover version of Supertramp's 'Even In
The Quietest Moments' also underlines EGO-N's curious and strang humour. This CD isn't definitely
suited for people with weak nerves. As it surely will be hard to get in the shops, you can
