Loved And Hated are a quite new Hardcore band formed in New York in 2000 by Jimmy Colletti and Rob Kabula of Agnostic Front. Mr. Kabula is still playing bass guitar, but Mr. Colletti has changed from the drum set to vocals and guitars. The two are joined by Larry Nieroda (Son Of Skam) and Mike Reese (Minor Disturbance). The first musical output of this quartett is an EP called Camouflage. If you adore Agnostic Front or Madball, you will like Loved And Hated. All their songs are very short, some are typical Old School (Come To Me), some go more into a jump jump attitude (No Sanity) and others are extremely fast (Double Standard Bureaucracy). Listening to this E.P. is definitely no torture, even quite enjoyable, but Loved And Hated are never able to put new ideas into Hardcore music. But maybe this wasn't even their idea... |
