Luddite Clone from New Jersey are a real extreme Metal band. First it's unusual that Metal songs have an average playing time of less than three minutes. The combination of violence, aggression and progression is also quite rare. They sound a bit like Youth Of Today or Dillinger Escape Plan, but without going as far as the just mentioned bands. Nevertheless, it's always astonishing to hear how brutal and crushing musical attacks can collide with precise arrangements played on a technical very high level. This enormous instrumentation gets confrontated with very rough sounding vocals which fit very well here. It's a pity that this EP only contains 6 songs, but Luddite Clone are already working on a full-length album which is supposed to be still released this year. But it will be very hard for them to drop the level of the EP. |
