12 songs / 51 minutes

Muffpotter got formed in 1993 and 'Bordsteinkantengeschichten', their third album, is their first
which is lasting more than 50 minutes. I remember having seen them live in Luxemburg about 3 years
ago and there performance was quite disappointing. Maybe Muffpotter had a very bad day or they have
achieved an enormous progression. Generally, Muffpotter may be described as Emo Core with German
vocals, but I think that there are fine differences between Muffpotter and the average Emo bands.
Muffpotter have found a golden way between aggression and melodies. The singer has a slightly dirty
voice which is fitting much better to the music than whining vocals. The lyrics are partly personal,
partly critical, free from clichés and listening to them is a very interesting passtime.
'Take A Run At The Sun', '100 Kilo' or 'Western von gestern' are just a few highlights on this
CD which belongs to the best one's of German spoken music. 'Bordsteinkantengeschichten' got released on the band's own label. As it will surely be quite difficult to obtain the CD in the shops, here's the address to write to: Huck's Plattenkiste, c/o Nagel, Tiefe Straße 2, D-48431 RHEINE (Germany) |
