Although this EP is the debut by Son Of Skam, its eight members are no newcomers to the underground scene as they come from well known bands like Subzero, Madball and Skarhead. Don't expect brutal Hardcore by reading their origins. In fact, Son Of Skam combine such different elements as Hardcore and HipHop. They describe their music themselves as a meeting between Madball and The Wu Tang Clan what may give you an appropriate idea of it. The songs are still aggressive, but contain also lots of groovy and rhythmic parts. It's surely not the music I'm normally listening to, but the CD is only lasting a bit more than 20 minutes and this doesn't disturb very much. The vocals are also very important to Son Of Skam as they have 4 singers (or rappers). What they sings directly comes out of their belly and they show a non-respect attitude towards life. That's why some parties describe them as obnoxious, violent and offending, other parties prefer unique, influential and enjoyable as description. Surely a new controversial band.
