Nuendo vs. Cubase
These are two great programs from those great minds at Steinberg \ Jones
They look similar, and they function similarly, and why shouldn't they.
But Nuendo has an advantage.
When mastering you have the option of selecting a small section of a track
and you can add an effect to that part and it will process into the wave itself as part of the wave, similar to a feature enjoyed in cakewalk. I like this alot. If you're sure of the effect you want for that part, you will save processing power by freeing up your fx sends or inserts.
Now for Nuendo's downside...
REWIRE!!!!
Cubase and Nuendo both support rewire.(see rewire in the forum section of this site)
But rewire does not work as well in Nuendo 1.5 as it does in Cubase vst32 v5 r5.
I'm using cubase now ,but as soon as Nuendo 2.0 runs rewire correctly I'll say later to Cubase.
I say Nuendo's interface is superior and caters to common sense. but don't take my word for it, see for yourself.
