All forms of marijuana are mind-altering. This means they change how the brain works. They all contain THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), the main active chemical in marijuana. But there are also 400 other chemicals in the marijuana plant. Marijuana, also spelled marihuana, is a drug made from the dried leaves and flowering tops of the hemp plant. People usually smoke marijuana in cigarettes or pipes, but it can also be mixed with food or beaverages. Almost all nations, includeing the united states and canada, have laws that prohibit the use of the drug. Which i dont aprove of. Marijuana has many nicknames, including grass, pot, weed, hemp, reffer, ganja, mary jane, the green, bob and buds. it is also called cannabis the scientific name for hemp. Many people who try marijuana use it only a few times. However some users today find out like my self that marijuana is not as harmful as some people make it out to be. Marijuana is a toxicant but is it not as powerful of a toxicant as alcohol. Yes alcohol something that is legal. Now on the other hand why is tabbacco legal? Tabbacco has more tars and toxic chemicals in it then marijuana, and also tabbacco cigerettes are addictive, due to the drug nicatine. So to sum all this all up. Marijuana has serious harmful effects on the skills needed for driving a car. Timing, coordination, alertness, and performance are all affected. For instance, the marijuana user may have trouble judging distances and may have delayed reactions to sights and sounds that drivers need to notice. There are data showing that marijuana has played a role in crashes. A study of patients who had been in traffic accidents revealed that 15 percent of those who had been driving a car or motorcycle had been smoking marijuana, and another 17 percent had both THC and alcohol in their blood.
