Love Conquers All
It all started on the evening of October 1st, 1999. The entire town was excited about all of the Halloween festivities. Houses were being decorated and children were searching for the perfect pumpkins to carve. Kurt was planning a surprise Halloween party to try to scare his girlfriend Tristan. Every year since they started going out in seventh grade Kurt tried unsuccessfully to scare the crap out of her. While Kurt was listening to the radio he heard an advertisement for a new haunted house. ~Hmm… I’ll take Tristan to the haunted house and then take her to the party after that. ~ Kurt thought to himself. He called Tristan’s best friend Candace and had her invite everyone she could think of. Candace was one of the most popular girls in town and knew all the important people. Among the invited were Howie Dorough, Jasmine, Justin Timberlake, Michelle, Nick Carter, and of course Kurt and Candace. <Ring…ring>
“Hello? This is Tristan. How may I help you?” Tristan answered her phone.
“Hi baby. It’s me. Listen, I think we should go out and have a little fun. How would you feel about going to a haunted house on the 8th?” Kurt asked.
“Sure sweetie. But you know those places don’t have much of an effect on me. Pick me up about 7:30pm. You have a key to my apartment. Just let yourself in. I gotta go. Candace is on the other line. I love you.” Tristan replied.
<Click> She hung up the phone before Kurt could reply. ~I wonder what Kurt is up to. Maybe he has something important to tell me…~ Tristan thought to herself. She picked up her diary and sat up on her bed when she heard a knock at the door.
